The Team

A dedicated team committed to responsible logistics, for more sustainable and peaceful cities.

Who are we?

OVO started as an idea conceived by three friends: Loik, Felipe, and Olivier. Today, it is a company that combines operations, innovation, and consulting.

Operations are supported by a strong and dedicated team of couriers.

The project team is bringing together key professionals with complementary expertise to address the challenges of this transition—expertise in the fields of urban planning, economics, environmental sciences, and information technology.

Complementary profiles

Our team is made up of people from diverse backgrounds who share the same commitment to service.

We work with experienced logistics specialists, independent professionals, students, artists, and entrepreneurs with side businesses, as well as people with immigrant backgrounds. This diversity is a true asset and allows us to respond flexibly to a wide range of needs while maintaining a high standard of quality.

OVO also places special emphasis on professional and social integration. Whenever possible, we promote access to employment for job seekers and those who are distant from the labor market by offering them support, training, and a structured work environment that enables them to develop their skills over the long term.

A Responsible Employer

OVO prioritizes long-term, transparent working relationships. Our employees are primarily hired under permanent contracts (CDI) and receive fair compensation commensurate with their responsibilities.

We adhere to the provisions of the transportation charter, comply with applicable collective bargaining agreements, and observe the current cantonal minimum wage requirements. We believe that high-quality working conditions, combined with effective tools and opportunities for career growth, are essential for retaining our teams and ensuring a high level of service for our customers.

Because effective logistics depend above all on motivated and valued teams, we make our employees one of the key drivers of the quality and reliability of OVO’s services.

Operational management that respects people

Fair and humane working conditions are central to OVO, which has ruled out pay-per-delivery and on-call work from the very beginning.
Work is organized into 2- to 4-hour shifts, 1 to 4 days a week, depending on the courier’s availability and the open shifts.
Work schedules are regular, and routes are planned in advance.
In addition, couriers are integrated into the company’s day-to-day management through a holacracy model: they participate—and are compensated—in route planning, customer contact, and billing.

Why Choose OVO for Logistics?

OVO aims to have a direct impact on the sustainable development of our cities while offering a competitively priced service tailored to its customers’ needs. OVO’s vision is to create clean and peaceful cities where increased commercial activity does not lead to more nuisances. OVO aims to promote local commerce and short supply chains by facilitating interactions between businesses and customers.

The Evolution of OVO

2020 - The Birth of OVO

In January 2020, three friends came up with a project that would have a positive impact on Geneva: replacing some truck deliveries with cargo bikes. The company was launched that summer. Faced with the realities on the ground, OVO quickly developed its first solutions, notably the transfer of goods from trucks to cargo bikes via strategically located transfer points in underground parking garages.

2021 - A Key Player in Local Logistics

In 2021, a crowdfunding campaign enabled OVO to set up its first distribution centers and support the launch of its business. At that time, the company primarily worked with local producers involved in short supply chains, delivering products such as eggs, vegetable baskets, beverages, and bread.

2022 — Installation of the first NanoHubs

To address a need identified in the field, OVO has partnered with the Canton of Geneva and the cities of Meyrin, Carouge, and Grand-Saconnex to install the first three NanoHubs. Since then, the concept has evolved, and new generations have replaced the initial installations. Today, the NanoHubs are an integral part of OVO’s daily operations.

2023 — OVO Expands Its Consulting Business

In response to requests from engineering firms and local governments, OVO is working with expert partners to develop a consulting service designed to support the logistics planning of downtown areas and eco-neighborhoods.

2024 — A Vision Tailored to Major European Cities

Through its international partnerships, OVO is refining its approach to efficient, multimodal, and decentralized urban logistics. The company is presenting its solutions to several major European cities and positioning itself as a provider of logistics infrastructure and a manager of shared warehouses, while integrating on-demand logistics into its business model.

2025 — Rollout of NanoHubZones in Europe

With support from the EIT, OVO is rolling out shared transfer zones in Brussels and the Barcelona metropolitan area. These multi-stakeholder infrastructure systems, used by Belgian and Spanish logistics operators and managed remotely by OVO, represent a new service designed to help public authorities organize and support urban logistics within their jurisdictions.

2026 — Launch of the OVO Planner software

After several years of development and field testing, OVO is making its TMS available to carriers and companies looking to plan, coordinate, and monitor their logistics operations. OVO helps them integrate the tool into their existing environment and ensures its adoption by field teams.
